(1) Vendor needs to provide high–performance computing software development and technical services.– Scientific software engineering, Information Technology (IT) system administration and operations, cybersecurity, and administrative and facilities management services to sustain and advance the strategic missions.– This includes user endpoint support (Linux/Windows), 24/7/365 remote and on–premise supercomputing systems operations (remote and local high–performance computing, Hierarchical Storage Management System, and networks), IT projects and project management, and administrative/mission–oriented support (federal travel, security clearances, foreign national visitors, human resources, and property management).– Provides 24/7/365 facilities consulting, management, engineering, project management, data centre physical power and cooling operations, preventative maintenance, and on–demand trade and construction services for minor building alterations.– Cloud–ready containerization of component/coupled model codes, infrastructure, and workflows compatible with public cloud architectures (including AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Azure) to ensure portability and scalability across hybrid computing environments. – Cloud managed images (AMI, Azure Compute Gallery, etc) and virtual machine configurations for use in earth system modelling and post processing.
