Description
The beaver population in Public Recreational Areas has become established and the damming of waterbodies has presented a problem with overland flooding on established walking trails. The intent is to mitigate this problem by installing Flexible Beaver Pond Levelers to mitigate the flood damage to trails and allow visitor usage of trails within the park boundaries. SCOPE OF WORK: • Mobilization and Demobilization of all equipment. • Supply all materials, haul onto site to create pond levelers. • Erect construction signage for notification to the public of work in progress. • Follow the list of materials and the method for installation for pond levelers that are within the following video links created by the Miistakis Institute: https://www.workingwithbeavers.ca/resources_videos.php • Clean up of the sites and remove all debris created during the project. Clean up of work site is required and debris is to be disposed of offsite, and not in Parks refuse containers. Refer to the RFQ document for additional information.
