Fire Suppression Systems Maintenance

The Sacramento County is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide comprehensive testing, inspection, maintenance, certification, and emergency repair services for fire suppression systems in County facilities. The intent of this Request for Bid is to establish one or more agreements with contractors capable of ensuring that all County fire prevention systems are maintained in full operational condition and in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. The proposed agreement will be in place for an initial one (1) year term, with an option to extend for four (4) additional one-year terms. The successful bidder must demonstrate appropriate licensure, manufacturer authorization, and registration with the California Department of Industrial Relations, and shall comply with prevailing wage requirements pursuant to the California Labor Code, as applicable. Contractors must possess the operational capacity, technical expertise, and qualified personnel necessary to perform maintenance and testing services during scheduled work hours, coordinate closely with designated County representatives, minimize operational disruptions at County facilities, and provide detailed written reports and certifications within required timeframes. The contractor shall also provide 24-hour, seven-day-a-week emergency repair coverage, with on-site response by a certified technician within two (2) hours of notification, and shall diligently pursue repairs until systems are restored to full functionality within specified time constraints. Emergency services shall be provided on an on-call basis, and the County reserves the right to determine what constitutes an emergency. All work shall be performed in a professional manner consistent with first-class workmanship standards and shall be subject to inspection and approval by the County. The selected contractor(s) will be expected to coordinate service schedules in advance, provide required notifications to County representatives and communication centers, furnish complete inspection and service documentation, and ensure that all applicable fire suppression systems remain code-compliant, fully operational, and capable of protecting County personnel, property, and the public.
