Security services at Economic Advancement Center

General work description: - City leased building located at 366 Grand Avenue - One security guard at front desk - Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred. - Hours of operation - 9:00am-5:00pm - Description of who is in space - The city currently has four nonprofits running services out of the EAC - JobTrain is a workforce development nonprofit organization who works with clients on bettering themselves for the workforce and finding employment through classes, training, workshops, one-on-one counseling, etc. Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center is a nonprofit who works with small business owners and entrepreneurs who want to start a business. They also offer classes, workshops, trainings and one-on-one counseling. Leadership Council of San Mateo County is a nonprofit that works with leaders to transform San Mateo County and find solutions to problems that are in the county. YMCA is the city's core services agency who offers rental relief and other basic need resources to residents. The YMCA offers office hours one day a week at the EAC. The other three nonprofits have dedicated spaces for staff to work and places to work with clients in the center five days a week. - Duties - (answering of phone, opening of building, closing of building, controlling parking lot only for customers, greeting walk ins and appointments) - Communicating with City staff for any logistical/operations/maintenance needs
