Center for Advanced Manufacturing – Warehouse Renovation for Aviation Program – Jamestown Campus

Letters of Interest with SF-254 will be received until Friday, October 16, 2026, at 3 p.m. EDT in the Construction Office, Campus Operations Building, 1003 Bonner Drive, Jamestown, NC 27282, Attn: Matthew Gunderson for architectural/engineering services to renovate warehouse space in the Center for Advanced Manufacturing at 6012 W. Gate City Boulevard into classrooms and labs for GTCC’s Aviation program. This project will convert approximately 9,000 square feet of unconditioned warehouse space, consisting of concrete floors, steel columns, roof joists, metal roof deck, and limited finished drywall on metal stud framing into conditioned space for aviation composites laboratories with adjacent classrooms, storage, offices, and code-compliant restrooms. The project will provide power, ventilation, and other accommodation for instructional equipment to be installed under a separate project. Special construction requirements may include demolition of portions of the existing heavy-duty industrial slab to accommodate restroom plumbing, if required by code, and ensuring full project compliance with the Land Use Restrictions included in the applicable Brownfields Agreement.
