Brief Description: Purchase of Seventy-One (71) High Speed Diverters HSD 3.0 for the Baggage Handling System (BHS). Estimated Value: $2,353,962.94 Term (Years): n/a Vendor: Siemens Logistics, LLC Justification: Siemens Logistics is the original manufacturer of the majority of the existing High Speed Diverters (57 Siemens units and 14 other manufacturer units) in the Aviation Authority's baggage handling system. Other manufacturer’s products will not be compatible with the existing design. A new competitive procurement will require re-design of the existing BHS which would be extremely cost prohibitive and disruptive to the BHS operation.
