Water Conservation Master Plan

The City of Santa Monica is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide professional services and a Water Conservation Modeling and Tracking Tool to assist in the development of a Water Conservation Master Plan (Plan). The Plan will provide a framework for water conservation programs that are aligned with the City’s other strategic plans (e.g., 2018 Sustainable Water Master Plan Update and 2020 Urban Water Management Plan) to meet Santa Monica’s water conservation, water self-sufficiency, and sustainability goals. The Plan should also consider climate change impacts on the frequency and intensity of drought conditions in the State of California, as well as the Southwest United States, in the development of conservation programs and water use efficiency management strategies. The Water Conservation Master Plan and Water Conservation Modeling and Tracking Tool are envisioned to be used for the new annual water supply and demand assessments/reports required by the California Department of Water Resources and to support compliance with California’s Water Conservation Framework regulations (AB1668/SB606). The Plan should also be tailored to support compliance with the AWWA G480-20 Water Conservation and Efficiency Program Operation and Management Standard (G480 Standard).
