(1) Vendor needs to provide professional engineering services to the government authority located in Thornton, CO.• This project includes replacing the existing headgate and providing automated flow control using a solar–powered actuator which will be tied to the existing downstream flume flow meter.• Consultant should evaluate the existing ditch structure and channel conditions to determine the most appropriate configuration for the new gate system, including how it is installed, supported, and integrated with the existing structure.• The consultant shall evaluate and design the electrical and instrumentation and control components required for automated gate operation, including solar power supply, wiring, conduit, actuator sizing, control logic, communication requirements, fail–safe operation, manual override capacity, and integration with the existing downstream Parshall flume flow meter and any existing monitoring infrastructure.• The consultant shall design all required supports, anchorage, fastening, mounting, and structural modifications necessary to safely and reliably install the proposed headgate system and actuator.• The consultant shall prepare design documents for a complete, functional system, including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and controls components as required.(2) A mandatory pre–bid conference will be held on October 13, 2026.(3) All question must be submitted no later than October 26, 2026.(4) A contract period will be for one year.
