(1) Vendor needs to provide worker's compensation administration service • Provide comprehensive resources and program services for its self–insured workers’ compensation program. • Compliance: Administer all claims strictly in accordance with the State of Connecticut Workers’ Compensation Act, statutory updates, and state regulations.• Reserving. Establish and maintain accurate, realistic claim reserve levels utilizing industry standard actuarial practices.• Three–Point Contact. Establish early communication with the injured employee, supervisor, and treating medical provider.• Disability Management. Authorize examinations to determine the nature/extent of disability• Medical Management: Utilization Review, nurse case management, when authorized, pharmacy benefits management coordination.• Litigation & Dispute Management. Coordinate with Corporation Counsel and/or Director of Human Resources regarding Workers Compensation Commission hearing representation.• Provide ongoing, sensitive communication with claimants, physicians, and city stakeholders regarding benefit structures.• Maintain a secure, web–accessible Risk Management Information System (RMIS) tracking all incidents.• Risk management assessment: a comprehensive evaluation of current operational, financial, and strategic exposures to identify potential vulnerabilities.• Risk control strategy development: the design of tailored mitigation frameworks and proactive strategies based on specific assessment findings to minimize impact and frequency of loss.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than Aug 13, 2026. (3) The contract period will be for three years.
