Mascot Research and Development Services

Mt. San Antonio College is seeking a partner to help the college research, develop, design, and begin implementation of a new college mascot to replace Joe Mountie. At this time, following the Board of Trustee's direction, the mascot would incorporate the college's moniker, Mounties. The successful vendor will support all phases of the mascot project. The ideal partner brings the experience, strategic mindset, respect for diversity, and creative approach necessary to establish a stand-out mascot presence fitting of Mt. SAC and its dynamic community. The goal of the mascot is to capture the College's unique character, represent the College's values, and engage the College's community. The new mascot must resonate with our diverse community, be creatively designed, and work well under different collegiate uses (from youth admissions events to athletic competitions). The process to create and choose the new mascot can be finalized in partnership with the vendor, and must include opportunities for the campus community to share ideas and provide feedback. Inclusivity is valued highly at the College and the community believes that soliciting and listening to diverse opinions ultimately strengthens its work. The successful vendor is expected to develop a draft strategy and provide sufficient material to support a new mascot reveal in 2024.
