(1) Vendor needs to provide timber sale and management services to the government authority located in Heathsville, VA. – Provide professional timber consultation, sale administration and management services for agency–owned properties. – Advise the agency on all aspects of timber management, including timber inventories and cruises, valuation, silvicultural practices, undergrowth and invasive–species control, harvesting strategy, sale preparation and administration, reforestation, environmental protection and long–term asset management.• Review agency objectives, available property records, maps, deeds, prior forestry plans and known environmental constraints.• Inspect and inventory hardwood, pine and mixed timber on agency–owned parcels identified by the agency.• Conduct timber cruises and provide species, volume, condition, maturity and market–value estimates using accepted professional methods.• Prepare a written forest and timber management plan with prioritized recommendations, schedules, budgets and decision points.• Recommend best practices for stand improvement, spraying, prescribed treatment, undergrowth control, harvesting, regeneration and reforestation.• Identify wetlands, streams, buffers, access limitations, erosion risks and other environmental or operational constraints and recommend protective measures.• Prepare timber sale documents, maps, specifications, bid forms and advertisements when authorized by the agency.• Market authorized timber sales, conduct pre–bid meetings, assist with bidder inquiries, receive and tabulate bids and recommend award in the agency’s best interest.• Administer and monitor authorized harvesting operations, including contract compliance, boundaries, access, best management practices, site restoration and closeout.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than October 30, 2026.
