  "summary": "<p>Disassemble and remove playground structure, swing structure, age-appropriate signage, plastic timber border and ramp from the current Oscar Johnson, Jr. Community Center at 100 Park Place.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Reassemble and install playground structure, swing structure, age-appropriate signage, plastic timber border and ramp according to manufacturer&rsquo;s instructions at the new Oscar Johnson, Jr. Enrichment and Recreation Center at 710 Foster Drive in area designated for playground.</p><ul><li>When complete, playground equipment shall meet the most current ASTM 1487 standard for entrapment, entanglement and protrusion hazards.</li><li>Install approximately 3,500 square feet geotextile fabric underlayment</li><li>Install 135 cubic yards of new Engineered Wood Fiber</li></ul><ul style=\"list-style-type: circle;\"><li>Engineered Wood Fiber shall be certified through International Playground Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA) and shall meet the most current standard of ASTM F1292, ASTM F1951, ASTM F2075, ASTM F2223 and ASTM F3351</li></ul><p><strong><u> </u></strong></p><p><strong><u>EXECUTION</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p><ul><li>Age of playground is approximately 12 years.&nbsp; Vendor shall anticipate damaged/ warped plastic timbers and/or seized/rusted hardware which may require replacement and bid accordingly</li><li>Vendor shall be responsible for replacement of any equipment damaged during removal and/or installation process</li><li>Vendor is responsible for visiting sites prior to submitting bid</li><li>Access to playground areas may vary depending on site conditions.&nbsp; Vendor shall be responsible for any rutting caused by their vehicles/equipment.</li><li>Vendor and/or subcontractor shall provide all design, labor, equipment, materials and supplies for a complete turn-key project</li><li>Selected vendor and/or subcontractor shall coordinate installation with the City of Conroe Parks and Recreation Department</li><li>Vendor is responsible for the conduct of their employees and/or subcontractor employees</li><li>Smoking, vaping and/or smokeless tobacco is <strong><u>Prohibited</u></strong> at Oscar Johnson, Jr. Community Center</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong><u>COMPLETION</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p>Upon completion, vendor and/or subcontractor shall ensure proper removal of all construction debris, surplus materials, empty containers, and waste containers.&nbsp; Contractor shall leave site acceptable to owner</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The City of Conroe will be accepting Proposals from respondents to Removal and Relocation of Playground Equipment for Oscar Johnson, Jr. Enrichment and Recreation Center.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>All bidders must meet or exceed the minimum specifications to be considered as a valid bid.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>The Contractor is an independent contractor and not an agent or employee of the City.&nbsp; The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to provide the services required by this agreement. The Contractor shall have control over the execution of the work and shall have sole responsibility and obligation for the hiring and supervision of its employees.&nbsp; <strong>THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE SOLEY RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY OF ITS EMPLOYEES.</strong></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>The Contractor is responsible for the behavior of their employees.&nbsp; The Contractor&rsquo;s employees will act and behave in a professional manner at all times while performing maintenance for the City. Any contact with the public must be courteous.&nbsp; The Contractor must have a supervisor on site at all times who can communicate in the English language.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>The Contractor and/or their employees shall have a clean and professional appearance.&nbsp; The Contractor and/or their employees shall be required to work in a clean uniformed shirt. Uniformed shirt shall indicate company&rsquo;s name in a manner that is clearly identifiable to the public.&nbsp; Cutoffs, torn or ripped clothing, or shirtless employees will not be acceptable.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>The Contractor shall be responsible for replacement or compensation for damage to any City property as a result of his/her work.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>The Contractor shall correspond via email, telephone or fax with the City representative(s) daily to report work completed each day that rehab is performed under this contract.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>The Contractor shall provide a valid telephone and/or cell phone number that will be answered at all times during normal working hours.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>The Contractor <strong>MUST</strong> submit <strong>COMPLETED BID PACKET</strong> to qualify as an acceptable bid.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><ul><li>The Contractor shall provide three valid names, addresses, and telephone numbers of references in which the Contractor has performed similar services.</li></ul><p><strong><u>CONTRACT TERM</u></strong></p><p><strong><u>&nbsp;</u></strong></p><p>&nbsp;The City of Conroe shall have the right to cancel this contract with 30 days written notice for unresolved problems.
