Multicultural Community Engagement

The City of Beaverton is seeking sealed proposals from qualified consultants who could provide multicultural community engagement to participants in the city’s affordable housing, long-range planning, and cultural inclusion programs. This will include the facilitation of the Beaverton Organizing and Leadership Development (BOLD) Program. The affordable housing program’s goal is to implement a set of policies, strategies, programs, and various funding sources to address housing needs in the city throughout the housing continuum from homelessness to homeownership. The cultural inclusion program goals are to help the City of Beaverton become increasingly welcoming, inclusive, representative, and responsive to historically excluded communities, particularly communities of color, immigrants, and refugees. The city strives to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion so that regardless of income, people will want to be part of this community to share in a high-quality life. The City of Beaverton is committed to supporting a culture of accountability, equity, and inclusion for all, especially for marginalized groups. We will continue the ongoing, difficult, and essential work needed to address institutional racism and historical inequities in all forms. This Request for Proposals is made available with this goal in mind.
