CEI - Chemstrand Road S. - Drainage and Sidewalk Improvements Johnson Avenue to 9 Mile Road

This project consists of sidewalks and drainage improvements along Chemstrand Road, including connecting side roads, from 9 Mile Road to Johnson Ave. Sidewalks will be incorporated down the east and west side of Chemstrand and will include 3 bus stop pads. Existing drainage systems will be replaced and expanded to adequately convey stormwater for the drainage basin to the Kaylyn Road County Pond and/or the Johnson Ave. stormwater system. This includes clipping shoulders, regrading and installing ditches, installation of ditch bottom inlets, roadway crossings, etc. The existing pond will be deepened as a part of this project. In addition to sidewalk and drainage improvements, the water system will be upgraded throughout the project area. ECUA will procure and provide the contractor many of the materials needed for this job and the bid tab reflects this. Chemstrand Road will be milled and resurfaced from the State Right of Way at Nine Mile Rd south to Johnson Ave. Erosion and sediment control will be utilized through construction. Drainage improvements include concrete pipe, curb inlets, ditch bottom inlets and manholes along with adjustments to existing inlets and/or manholes. The contractor will be required to digitally record the project before and after construction.
