This is a “Synopsis“ for the National Synchrotron Light Source II (NSLS–II), which is a state–of–the–art scientific research facility at Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) that operates continuously 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. NSLS–II includes a full–energy booster/injector that injects electrons at 3 GeV into a highly optimized electron synchrotron storage ring that is 792 meters in circumference at the electron beam centerline. The NSLS–II storage ring can accommodate up to 58 experimental beamlines.The Photon Delivery System Components described in the Draft SOW, hereafter referred to as “the Equipment,“ will be used as a vital part of the Quantitative Cellular Tomography (QCT) beamlines ensuring that the X–ray beam at the endstations meets the requirements of the scientific experiments to be performed.
