Description
It is the intention of the Tucson Unified School District to procure scheduled annual kitchen hood and fire sprinkler system inspections, testing and calibrations for approximately two-hundred seventeen (217) risers and seventy-nine (79) sectionals systems. Awarded vendor(s) will perform required annual inspection services in full compliance with the most current and any previous applicable NFPA 25 standards, codes, or regulations for the inspection, testing, and maintenance of water-based fire protection systems and one (1) nitrogen system. Awarded vendor(s) will also be required and responsible for performing work in full compliance with all local, county, state, federal laws, ordinances, statutes and requirements for fire sprinkler inspections and repair work. Most of TUSD’s fire sprinkler systems are water based, with one system in place that is nitrogen. Awarded vendor(s) will also perform semi and annual inspections to include cost of fusible link replacement, blow caps replacement and annual cleanings. Maintenance, parts, and repairs for all district kitchen hood will be quoted when repairs are needed. It should be noted that the kitchen hoods listed are all “ANSUL” hoods and only “ANSUL” parts are to be utilized during inspections and repairs. Awarded vendor must be a registered contractor and hold current Arizona business and contractor licenses (C-16) to perform requested services. Awarded vendor will be required to supply parts that meet all known NFPA 25 standards, codes, or regulations and meet any and all local, county, state, federal laws, ordinances, statues, and requirements. All work must be performed at a time that will not disturb the educational process. Service times must be scheduled beforehand with site administration. Vendors have the option to visit District locations to review fire sprinkler systems and kitchen hoods prior to the bid due date by calling the TUSD Operations Department @ 225-4625 for instruction and directions. Award may be based on item by item, group by group, or all or none, whichever is determined to be most advantageous to the district.
