(1) Vendor needs to provide professional foresters service to the government authority located in Newport, NH. – Provide on–call town forester services for municipally owned forest land, public trees, and related municipal forestry matters as well as intents to cut.– Services will be requested on an as–needed basis and compensated at the hourly rate stated.– Municipal forest stewardship: Inspect Town–owned Forest land; prepare or update forest stewardship and management plans; recommend silvicultural treatments; identify priorities; and advise the Town on sustainable, multiple–use management.– Forest inventory and mapping: Conduct timber cruising, stand delineation, basal–area and volume estimates, regeneration assessments, forest–health observations, mapping, and related field data collection as authorized.– Grants and funding: Identify potential forestry grants or cost–share programs and, when authorized, assist with applications, project administration, reporting, and closeout.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than September 18, 2026.
