Unit 5 Combustion Turbine Inlet Filter House Modification and Filter Change

The City of Lakeland McIntosh Unit 5 generating unit is due to replace it’s combustion turbine inlet filters. As such, the City is seeking reputable and qualified suppliers and installers to quote pricing and lead time of 648 conical and 648 cylindrical filters as specified in this bid. The filters currently installed have twist-lock tangs as part of the original equipment manufacturer’s (OEM) design. The OEM is Pneumafil. The plant has experienced difficulties associated with the twist-lock design with issues ranging from tabs breaking to installation quality. Accordingly, this bid scope shall include a modification to install a tripod mounting system as part of the scope to allow for standard filter design to be installed (without twist-lock tangs). The plant is planning to perform this filter replacement and mounting modification during the Spring 2024 outage which is scheduled for 18 working days beginning February 24, 2024.
