(1) Vendor needs to provide safe routes to school and travel options engagement services will support and expand Safe Routes to School programming by developing maps and educational materials that promote safe walking and biking routes, as well as identify school education strategies that promote active transportation. to the government authority located in Bend, OR.– Activities support Walk and Roll to School events, route mapping, and school–specific educationand encouragement events focused on safety and active transportation.– Have at least one map for each school, with all maps posted on the school district website as a parent resource.1. School Engagement and Education Events– Plan, deliver, and promote up to three school–focused events per year that encouragestudents and families to consider using active transportation– This includes coordination of walk and roll to school day events, in addition to initiatives tailored to specific schools.2. Route Planning and Mapping– Develop new walking and rolling maps and update existing route maps serving schools within the City3. Program Sustainability and Performance Tracking– Track program activities and outcomes to support continuous improvement and longterm sustainability for Safe Routes to School education activities. This includes monitoring participation, summarizing program impacts, and identifying opportunities to strengthen the program. Insights gathered through this work will help inform future planning infrastructure investments and funding opportunities.4. School Education and Awareness Strategies– Meet with City staff to conceptualize education and awareness strategies for futuregrowth of the program, with the goal of promoting safe and reliable transportationoptions for students and families beyond this initial one–year contract duration.5. Travel Options Community Outreach and Engagement– Support the City’s ongoing efforts to promote new multimodal transportation infrastructure and travel options amenities such as bikeshare, mobility hubs, and wayfinding signage by co–hosting community events with the City and partner organizations.6.Travel Options Event Support7. City–Branded Travel Options Campaign Strategic Support– The City will implement a branded Travel Options campaign in Summer 2027 to increase community awareness and use of safe, convenient, and reliable travel options. Advise the City on appropriate campaign themes and proposed messaging, including online education (e‑learning) initiatives that address key audiences, topics, and barriers related to walking, biking, rolling, and transit.
