Farebox and Ticket Vending Machines

Santa Fe Trails Transit is in need of an upgraded ticketing system. Currently, our buses only accept cash payments, which creates inconvenience for riders. Carrying large amounts of cash poses safety concerns, and requiring customers to visit the main transit office to purchase bus passes is not user-friendly. Flowbird offers a modern ticketing solution that enables passengers to conveniently purchase fares through a mobile app or online. Since Flowbird is already contracted with our parking division, partnering with them on this project would allow us to leverage the same technology and better analyze customer data to understand and meet rider needs more effectively.
