Description
BVU Authority is seeking sealed bid quote from qualified companies for the installation of approximately 343 linear feet of 8-inch sanitary sewer. The sewer line installation is to replace an existing sewer line with 8-inch SDR 35 PVC sewer pipe located along in Plaza Drive in Bristol Virginia. The scope of work will be to install one new manhole and connect the proposed 8-inch line to two existing manholes, one located in Plaza Drive and the other in Lee Highway. The line installation project is located in an area with minimum sewer flow and may require bypass pumping of sewage when connecting the proposed line to the existing manhole. Contractor will be responsible for providing all needed materials, necessary to complete the installation in accordance with BVU Standard Specifications for the Design and Construction of Sanitary Sewerage Facilities and must be completed within 30 days of the date of contract. (see the attached plan on this posting. Contractor must also meet City of Bristol Virginia requirements when working in City right of way, including, but not limited to, back fill requirements, permits, and traffic control. Bid quotes must be submitted to Philip King at BVU Authority, 15022 Lee Highway, Bristol Virginia by 12:00 pm, May 2, 2014.
