Description
BVU Authority is seeking quotes from qualified companes for the installation of approximately 382 linear feet of 8-inch and 120 linear feet of 6-inch sanitary sewer. The sewer line installation is to relace an existing clay sewer line with SDR 35 PVC sewer pipe located in Prince Street in Bristol Virginia. The Scope of work will be to remove and replace broken and defective sewer lines to the existing grade and install three new manholes. There are three service laterals to be renewed that will include cleanouts and backflow devices. The depth of sewer line to be replaced is approximately three to four feet deep. The line replacement project is located in a residential area on Prince Street between Prospect and Arlington Avenues. The sewage flow is minimum and will require bypass pumping of sewage to downstream manhole. The contractor will be responsible for providing all needed materials, necessary to complete the installation in accordance with BVU Standard Specifications for the Design and Construction of Sanitary Sewerage Facilities. The project must be completed within 30 days of the contract date. Contractor must also meet City of Bristol Virginia requirements when working in City right-of-way, incuding, but not limited to backfill requirements, permits, and traffic control (see attachments for details).
