(1) Vendor needs to provide business development and revenue enhancement strategy technical assistance consultant service.• The goal of this engagement is to help farmers strengthen the financial sustainability of their businesses, improve profitability, evaluate opportunities for growth and revenue diversification, and make informed decisions about the future of their farm businesses.• Individual Farm Business Technical Assistance– One–on–one assistance will be available to South Jersey farmers who complete a brief intake process. Depending on the needs of each farm, support may include:- Farm business planning and business model assessment- Review or development of business plans and budgets- Financial and profitability analysis- Cost–of–production analysis- Pricing strategy- Identifying and evaluating existing and potential revenue streams- Product and enterprise mix analysis- Growth, expansion, or diversification planning- Evaluating potential value–added products or enterprises– Collaborative & Cooperative Enterprise Development– A portion of the engagement should be dedicated to supporting groups of farmers interested in exploring collaborative approaches to increasing revenue, reducing costs, or developing new enterprises.- Cooperative food enterprises- Collaborative value–added products- Cooperative farm–share or agency models- Shared services, equipment, infrastructure, or distribution- Joint purchasing or other cost–sharing models- Other farmer–led collaborative business ventures(2) The contract period will be for one year.
