(1) Vendor needs to provide emergency medical director services to the government authority located in Bondurant, IA. – Provide Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Medical Director services for Bondurant Emergency Services (BES).– Provide the medical oversight, provider credentialing, quality improvement, protocol leadership, training support, and system consultation required for a transporting advanced life support service.– Medical Direction and Coverage:• Maintain continuity of medical direction and cooperate in any transition so that medical director duties are not relinquished before a new or temporary replacement is functioning in that capacity.• Provide or coordinate timely physician consultation for clinically significant incidents, unusual cases, protocol questions, or patient–care concerns.– Protocols and Clinical Practice:• Develop, approve, maintain, and update BES service protocols so they meet or exceed Iowa minimum EMS clinical guidelines and remain within the city’s EMS service.• Review state guideline changes, evidence–based practice developments, and relevant local system needs and recommend protocol changes when appropriate.– Provider Credentialing and Clinical Authority:• Clinically credential EMS providers rostered with BES for the emergency medical skills they are authorized to perform.• Ensure the clinical duties assigned to EMS providers do not exceed provider scope of practice or the city’s authorized EMS service level.– Continuous Quality Improvement and Medical Audit:• Perform or complete medical audits required under the BES program, or appoint a qualified designee to perform or complete those audits.• Personally conduct random audits of patient–care documentation at least quarterly, as required by administrative code.(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than September 25, 2026.
