Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA)

A. State Administering Agency- SAA The Office Against Interpersonal Violence (OAIV) of the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) is pleased to provide this Request for Applications (RFA) for federal funding to support victims of interpersonal violence and other crimes. OAIV is seeking applications for the following grant funding: FVPSA Administration on Children and Families, Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) Formula Grant Federal funds will be allocated in accordance with state and federal requirements and the intended uses of the grant programs for a two-year period from October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2027. The RFA includes instructions for proposal submission, grant specific guidelines and budget requirements, as well as guidelines for evaluation. This is a competitive review process. Applicants are encouraged to submit projects including new and innovative approaches in their scopes of services/work plans. Please read all sections of the RFA and all accompanying documents carefully. All attachments posted here with the RFA are considered part of the RFA. B. RFA Timeline Announcement of Funding Opportunity October 8, 2025 Applicant Questions Due October 15, 2025 5:00 PM (CST) Response to Application Questions - October 17, 2025 9am (CST) Application Submission Deadline October 22, 2025 5:00 PM (CST) Notice of Intent to Award and/or Notice of Denial October 31, 2025 Award Implementation Date October 1, 2025 C. Award Period Projects selected for funding must begin on or after 10/01/2025, but no later than 12/01/2025, and end on or before 9/30/2027. Projects may not exceed a 24-month project period. The FVPSA - American Rescue Plan (ARP), ARP FVPSA Sexual Assault and ARP FVPSA Testing, Vaccines and Mobile Health Units projects will be null and void at 11:59 pm on 09/31/2025.
