Description

Project Description The Orange County Flood Control District and the County of Orange has jurisdiction over 380 miles of flood conveyance facilities, and over 35 regional detention basins and dams. The 1986 Orange County Hydrology Manual and 1996 Addendum provides the computational criteria for the estimation of runoff, discharges and volume to size flood control facilities within the county. Overview The purpose of the update to the 1986 Orange County Hydrology Manual and 1996 Addendum is to review the hydrologic procedures, assess the runoff frequencies based on 40+ years of data since the original calibration performed in 1983, and research how climate change and post-fire hydrology can be incorporated into the manual. Project Description OCFCD is seeking Proposals from qualified consultants to update the Orange County Hydrology Manual.
