Description
Vendor needs to provide speed study services to the government authority located in NM. – Provide includes a review of traffic volume, average current speeds, crash analysis, conflict density, activity level and roadway context is necessary to determine the appropriate speeds in this region.– Study should consider state and federal standards, including but not limited to the manual on uniform traffic control devices, the federal tool to aid practitioners in determining appropriate speed limits, the highway safety improvement program.– Data collection and field review:– Collection of, including but not limited to, traffic counts, speed determination, road design and condition, intersection counts and activity, adjacent land use, crash data, site distance, hazards and surface type.– Traffic data:– Representative sites shall be selected to measure speeds and 48–hour ADT counts according to federal and state traffic monitoring standards.– Data analysis:– Crash analysis, average, median and 85th percentile speed, pace and standard deviation will be applied to data collected.
