Interested vendors should go to the City's sourcing and contracting tool at: (https://alexandriava.bonfirehub.com/opportunities/231851) in order to view the solicitation documents. The solicitation documents will not be provided in the eVA system but only in the designated website provided. The City is issuing this RFP, on behalf of DASH (Customer), in order to solicit Proposals from interested, licensed (to do business in the Commonwealth), and qualified firms to provide a next-generation and turnkey Computer-Aided Dispatch / Automatic Vehicle Location (CAD/AVL) system. DASH needs a CAD/AVL system that allows staff to effectively manage its operations, track bus locations, provide real time bus arrival information, and communicate with customers. DASH requires the capability to track their buses in real-time, but also support real-time wayside displays, monitoring of headway and schedule adherence, map and grid views, performance indicators, customizable reporting modules, incident management, historical playback, event-based alerts, and broadcast messaging.
