The Department of War (DOW), Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Directorate, (WHS/AD) intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of RFO Part 12.102 (a) and 12.201–1, which implements 41 U.S.C. 1901 to Astrophysics, Inc. for an X–ray screening system, Model XIS–6545DV, as the vendor has capability provide the system with the required dimensions along with meeting the security and delivery requirements. The x–ray model is capable of screening carryon and mediumsized luggage, the system will support security operations requiring highresolution imaging, dualenergy material discrimination, and TSA/ECACcompliant detection capabilities.Astrophysics` Model XIS 6545DV, represents the only model with the minimum performance, safety, operational standards, and dimensions to meet the Government`s requirements.
