(1) Vendor needs to provide background checks and drug screening services to the government authority located in Huntington Station, NY.1. Background checks:– The criminal background check shall meet the following specifications:– A social security trace shall be performed to verify that the social security number provided by the individual was issued by the social security administration and is not assigned to a deceased person, and to identify any alias or maiden names associated with the individual.– A search shall be performed of all criminal records (felony and misdemeanor) for all counties in which the individual is known to have resided, under his or her current name as well as under any alias or maiden names assigned to the social security number.2. Drug screens:– Determine whether an individual is illegally using drugs.– Provide valid proof that each individual successfully passed the drug–testing requirement. valid proof is defined as a copy of the lab results with medical reviewer’s name, signature and date.– Administer drug tests in accordance with the federal guidelines set forth by the department of health and human services and the substance abuse and mental health services administration through the use of a certified laboratories whereby the drug testing process involves a screening test; a confirmation test; opportunity for a split sample; review by a medical review officer, including the opportunity for employees who test positive to provide a legitimate medical explanation, such as a physician’s prescription, for the positive result; and a documented chain of custody.(2) All question must be submitted no later than September 15, 2026.(3) A contract period will be for one year.
