SCL Private Security

Seattle City Light (SCL) seeks a comprehensive security solution for multiple critical infrastructure locations. The selected vendor will provide 24/7 security guard services for key sites including the North Service Center, South Service Center, System Operation Center (SOC), Security Monitoring Center, Mobile Patrol in North and South Seattle, Boundary Dam, Skagit Dam, and the Seattle Municipal Tower. Each site will have designated fixed-post or mobile patrol guards to ensure constant surveillance and security. The Seattle Municipal Tower will also require a dedicated on-site manager available 24/7 to oversee operations. The primary responsibilities of the vendor include ensuring all security personnel adhere to city policies, passing comprehensive background checks, maintaining strict key control, and demonstrating proficiency in emergency response and security systems operation. Security personnel must possess strong communication skills, physical and mental capabilities, and must be trained in various safety and security protocols. The vendor is responsible for providing uniforms, necessary equipment, and vehicles for patrol duties. Additionally, the vendor will handle all administrative functions, including employee scheduling, training, and compliance with city-specific rules and regulations. This ITB intends to establish a pool of contracts to enhance the safety and security of SCL's infrastructure, protecting against potential threats and ensuring a safe environment for city employees, visitors, and the public. By partnering with quality vendors, SCL intends to establish a robust security presence that can effectively manage and respond to any incidents and safeguard critical assets.
