(1) Vendor needs to provide classification and compensation study services to the government authority located in San Francisco, CA.A. Total Compensation Study1. Review the city’s current classifications, job descriptions, compensation structure, and existing survey and salary–setting methodology, and make recommendations regarding survey methodology, data collection, and internal and external benchmarking.2. Meet with members of the city’s management team to review the proposed survey methodology. as needed or requested, meet with the city’s bargaining unit representatives to review the proposed survey methodology.3. Collect data from identified benchmark cities/agencies to identify matching job classifications, based on job description content and other relevant information such as organizational charts and agency budget.4. Present the initial list of matching classifications to the city’s management team and bargaining unit representatives for review and clarification. at this time, classifications may be identified for further study.5. Collect compensation data from identified cities/agencies on matching job classifications in accordance with the survey methodology.6. Present a draft survey in Excel format to the City’s management team. As needed or requested, meet with bargaining unit representatives for review and clarification,B. Classification Studies1. Collection and review of a written job inventory/job analysis2. Collection and review of other relevant documents such as organizational charts, City budgets, work products, and other data as requested by the consultant3. Interviews with position incumbents, supervisors, managers, and other subject matter experts, as needed.4.
