Description
The Health Department is seeking an agency (or agencies) to conduct activities to prevent drug overdoses through the use of ARPA funding. Drug overdoses are an increasing problem in New Haven. In 2022, there were 128 drug overdose deaths among New Haven residents (compared to 119 in 2021, 89 in 2020, and 53 in 2019). Most overdose fatalities in New Haven – 89% in 2022 – involved fentanyl.
