Drug Testing Services

The City of Fort Myers, Florida (“City”), is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified and experienced firms to provide comprehensive drug and alcohol testing services in accordance with the Florida Drug-Free Workplace Act, Section 440.102, Florida Statutes, and all other applicable federal and state regulations, including U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations under 49 CFR Part 40 for safety-sensitive positions. The purpose of this RFP is to secure a qualified vendor to administer, manage, and support the City’s Drug-Free Workplace Program to ensure compliance, promote employee safety, reduce workplace risk, and maintain eligibility for workers’ compensation premium discounts available under Florida law. The city intends to enter into a contractual agreement with a firm possessing demonstrated expertise in providing drug and alcohol testing services to public sector employers in Florida.
