BVC_2026RFP0003-Academic Programs and Support Services Alignment

Conduct a comprehensive review and strategic alignment of the college’s academic programs and support services to ensure a program mix that is responsive to workforce needs (based on Alberta Jobs Strategy and Health Workforce Strategy). Assessment of academic programs may include criteria like: • Employment outcomes and workforce needs • Student demand • Long-term viability and community impact • Alignment with government priorities • Identify gaps within the existing program mix and outline short term (3 years) and long term (5-7 years) new program opportunities. There are also clear outcomes of this project which will require objective and comprehensive research, evaluation, final recommendations, and an action plan to achieve program and services optimization. A.2 SCOPE OF WORK The College is looking for a consultant who will provide the following outcomes: • Comprehensive review and strategic alignment of the college’s academic programs and support services • Program alignment plan – where at least 80% of programs align with current and projected workforce needs • Services alignment plan – where 70% of expenses for non-academic activities directly support the student journey • Program and services optimization – Plan of programs/services to be launched, revised, consolidated, or suspended/terminated based on the review Deliverables will also include a comprehensive review of post-secondary trends, program supply, enrolment demand, and operational models/frameworks for achieving academic program success and service efficiency. Important deadlines: • December 15, 2026: interim report on academic program alignment to labor market demands and Government • of Alberta’s Job strategy • April 1, 2026: final report an recommendations on outcomes identified for the project
