Vendor needs to provide medical director and medical consultant services to the government authority located in Liberty, NY. – The Medical Director shall be responsible to the agency, as operator, for the professional, organizational, and administrative aspects of the adequacy and quality of care provided by the Center.• Provide medical direction and clinical oversight for services delivered through the Article 28 Diagnostic and Treatment Center.• Report to and collaborate with the Director of Public Health and advise the Article 28 Director of Patient Services and designated clinical leadership on medical practice, patient care, and regulatory matters affecting the Center.• Collaborate, review, and recommend patient–care policies, procedures, protocols, standing orders, and clinical guidelines consistent with generally accepted professional standards and applicable requirements.• Review and approve medical orders and standing orders needed for authorized Center services, including tuberculosis, sexually transmitted infection, lead, rabies, immunization, and related clinical activities.• Provide medical consultation regarding patient assessment, abnormal findings, diagnostic testing, treatment, follow–up, referral, and continuity of care within the Center's scope of services.• Provide medical guidance regarding communicable–disease evaluation and management when the matter involves patient care delivered through the Center.• Oversee the professional practice and clinical performance of Center practitioners and provide medical direction to clinical staff without assuming the County's employment or personnel–management functions.
