Bus Services for Field Trip Programs

Formed in July 2014 as a part of the County Executive’s Office, the Sustainability Department strives to improve the sustainability of the County’s operations and the greater community through work that is designed to bring solutions today while solving for tomorrow. The Sustainability Department has programs to help the county both fight and prepare for climate change, ensure clean energy, water, and air, conserve resources for future generations through waste reduction, and support livable communities with affordable housing and infrastructure for biking, walking, and public transit. The San Mateo County Sustainability Department hosts multiple programs for youth to engage in educational field trips at various locations across the County. This includes Waste Reduction field trips for 1 st to 8 th grade students, and Climate Science field trips for 7 th to 12 th grade students. These trips typically range from 2.5 to 5 hours long and bring students to various locations around San Mateo County. The San Mateo County Sustainability Department is seeking a partner(s) to provide bus transportation services for our youth field trip programs for K-12 schools located in San Mateo County.
