Vendor needs to provide teacher services for orientation and mobility services, blind or visually impaired services, braille transcription services, and deaf or hard of hearing services for students to the government authority located in Chesterfield, VA1. Deaf or hard of hearing services:– Ability to support a total communication environment, using oral methods, signed supported English, American sign language (ASL), etc. if required.– Review/obtain updated, available audiological/medical information for students’ degree/type of hearing loss, discrimination ability, and use of amplification, and share this knowledge with parents, teachers, and other staff as appropriate.– Conduct evaluations to gather information about the impact of a student’s hearing impairment on educational performance.– Prepare reports, present findings and interpret evaluation and assessment results regarding the impact of deafness or a hearing impairment.2. Blind or visually impaired services:– Conduct functional vision assessments, learning media assessments and other evaluations as appropriate.– Conduct or participate in assistive technology evaluations as appropriate.– Prepare reports, present findings and interpret evaluation and assessment results regarding the impact of visual impairment.3. Braille transcription services:– Convert a variety of written materials into Braille.– Handle student and instructional materials with strict privacy and ethical standards.– Proofread for correct symbols, formatting, and completeness to avoid instructional barriers.– Maintain records of Braille transcription services performed.
