Description
This is Joint-Procurement issued by The City of Daytona Beach on behalf of The City of Daytona Beach and the City of Port Orange. (Collectively referred to as “Cities”, individually as “City"). This Request for Proposals (RFP) is issued in accordance with and shall be governed by the provisions of each City’s Purchasing Code and policies. In the event of conflict between the two purchasing codes, the more stringent code shall apply. This RFP seeks to solicit competitive sealed proposals from qualified Proposers to assist the Cities with Disaster Debris Removal Services as described within the Scope of Work. It is the intent of the Cities that this RFP will result in the selection of one (1) primary and two (2) secondary experienced Proposers. It is the intent and purpose of the Cities that this RFP promote competitive selection. It shall be the Proposer’s responsibility to advise The City of Daytona Beach Purchasing Department if any language, requirements, etc., or any combination thereof, inadvertently restricts or limits the requirements stated in this RFP to a single source. One (1) contract with each of the successful Proposer(s) will be issued in accordance with the City's purchasing policies and procedures. The term of the contract shall be three (3) years, with two (2) additional, one (1) year renewals, if mutually agreed upon prior to contract expiration. Joint-Procurement Procedures: This RFP will be advertised regionally, be posted publicly on OpenGov, the Procurement Platform for The City of Daytona Beach. All questions concerning this RFP should be addressed to The City of Daytona Beach Purchasing Department via the solicitation's Question & Answer Tab within OpenGov. Each City shall be responsible issuing its own tax exemption certificate(s), Notice to Proceed Orders, Work Orders, Work Authorizations, Task Authorizations and Purchase Orders. Each City shall be billed separately and be in accordance with the City's contract. Invoicing instructions shall be in accordance with the City's requirements. Any reference in the documents to “City” in the singular will, in fact, be understood as referring to both Cities unless specifically noted otherwise.
