Vendor needs to provide integrated library system. – Agency is evaluating Integrated Library System (ILS) software to ensure our organization is providing the best suite of staff–facing library automation software to support the needs of agency consortium of libraries and their patrons. – ILS functionality assessment:• Staff user interface:– Customizable patron record display – Accessible font, font size, and color in all functions – Functional hyperlinks in records – Option to program function keys with commands and literal text (i.e., macros) • Acquisitions and serials:– Ability to create and manage multiple funds per library site, to support a library consortium with different accounting methods – Electronic Resource Management (ERM) – Ability to have distinct serials–specific serial records and item records, including bibliographic records, order records, check–in records, holding records • Cataloging, authority control, and records management:– General record management for all types of records – Bibliographic record management – Authority control management – Item record management • Circulation: – Circulation parameter/loan rule management – Fines and fees – Online patron registration – Offline circulation – Interlibrary loan • Reports and statistics:– Availability of reporting on circulation transactions by library and consortia– Availability of reporting on historical and current collections by library and consortia– Availability of reporting on patron use by transaction type and library• ILS systems administration and authentication:– ¬Documentation and training – System administration – Loading new records – Remote authentication for e–resources • Offsite hosting/SAAS and system administration.
