Description
The Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) prohibit employment discrimination on the basis of disability. The County of San Mateo (County) is committed to ensuring that qualified applicants and employees with disabilities are not excluded from participation in, denied the benefits of, or otherwise subjected to discrimination in employment. Consistent with applicable federal and state laws, the County provides reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities, provided such accommodations do not impose an undue hardship on County operations. The County’s ADA Title I Accommodations Unit partners with departments, applicants, and employees to facilitate the interactive process and identify effective, individualized accommodation solutions. The County is seeking qualified vendors and consultants to provide professional services to support ADA/FEHA compliance efforts, particularly in managing increased caseloads and complex matters.
