Roosevelt Creek Channel 5 Improvements; PID 002123A - ARPA Project

Pinellas County / PUBLIC WORKS

Description

The primary goal of this project is to lower an existing salinity weir (through removal and new construction) to create a more natural hydrological connection between Roosevelt Creek Channel 5 and Old Tampa Bay. This will result in improved flood stages, improved habitat value, and allow for the passage of fish and other marine life. This work also includes lining of existing pipe connections to the channel, installation of manatee grates, and manatee protection installation north of Ulmerton Road in the channel. Erosion will be addressed where noted on the plans.
