(1) Vendor needs to provide hub specimen collection software. • Automated positive patient identification system for the collection of laboratory specimens, including to, blood, urine, stool, swabs, and other specimen collections.• Requirements for a bar–coded specimen collection system to enhance patient safety through accurate identification by scanning patients.• Technology based positive patient identification system utilizing barcode scanning by bedside clinicians.• Bedside printing of specimen labels via mounting on existing computer on wheels and wireless scanning and printing by phlebotomy teams.• Interfaces shall be included for connectivity• User access shall be granted through single sign on using cards or through Active Directory.• Supporting API callbacks and HL7 messages.• Capable of compiling the collected information allowing for labels to created at the time of collection• Built–in reports shall be available for data analysis.
