(1) Vendor needs to provide skilled nursing facility medical billing service.– Provide an appropriate number of billing staff when needed to support the existing agency staff in completing their tasks efficiently and within the specified timeframe. – At present, there are four medical billers, one senior medical biller, one billing manager and one medicaid liaison.– Obtaining referrals and pre–authorizations as required.– Checking eligibility and benefits.– Reviewing patient bills for accuracy and completeness, and obtaining any missing information.– Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing.– Unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe.– Checking each insurance payment for accuracy.– Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary.– Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurances.– Researching and appealing denied claims.– Answering all resident or insurance telephone inquiries pertaining to assigned accounts.– Setting up patient payment plans and work collection accounts.– Updating billing software with rate changes.(2) The contract period will be for one year. (3) All the questions must be submitted no later than September 25, 2026.
