UTAH AVENUE OVERCROSSING PROJECT

The City of South San Francisco (City) is inviting proposals from qualified Civil Engineering Firms (Consultant) to provide professional engineering services for the preparation of Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) for the Utah Avenue Overcrossing Project (hereinafter referred to as “Project”). The City is seeking to obtain professional services from consultant firms that have experience and a demonstrated background in completing Caltrans PS&E Project Developments associated with interchange crossing structures, and that are familiar with current Caltrans Project Development requirements.This Request for Proposals (RFP) is only seeking proposals for services to complete the PS&E phase of the Project. CONSULTANT shall perform professional and technical engineering services to prepare the PS&E Documents. Consultant shall provide all services needed to prepare Plans, Specifications & Estimates (PS&E), Right-of-Way Engineering, utility coordination and preparation of utility agreements, necessary environmental revalidation, environmental permitting, design support during contract advertisement and award. Consultant shall provide all services and deliverables in compliance with Caltrans, FHWA and applicable local agency standards and requirements. The consultant shall provide professional and technical engineering services to develop the Project that can best meet the City’s goal for delivering the Project and prepare final design documents and related activities. The required engineering design services will include, but not be limited to the following: roadway, structures, lighting, signals, signing, striping, landscaping, surveys, Right-of-Way engineering, utility coordination, preparation & processing of utility agreements, environmental revalidation, identification / quantification of environmental mitigation, providing support to obtain mitigation and such other incidental features required to complete the PS&E, and final bid documents for the Project inclusive of the components listed below. The consultant will also need to provide design support services during advertisement and award.
