(1) Vendor needs to provide conflicts counsel and advisory legal rent levelling board attorney service to the government authority located in Passaic, NJ. – Provide general municipal legal advice whenever conflicts arise with any current municipal attorney including to general counsel, which would prevent them from representing the city.– Legal research and or advisory opinions as needed.– Research and draft ordinances and resolutions– Represent the city in litigation in federal and state courts and administrative forums.– Review and draft contracts, ordinances, and resolutions as needed.– Represent the city and the Board in rent control matters in federal and state Courts and administrative forums. (2) The contract period will be for one year.
