Permitting Efficiency Study

The County of Volusia seeks a professional consulting firm to review and analyze the various planning, land development and permitting processes and provide recommendations to improve the efficiency, timing, and predictability of the programs. The State of Florida passed several laws that mandated a maximum time for staff review, requests for additional information and issuance of development orders or permits. This has impacted the business systems implemented by the county. Additional changes may be coming that will further reduce the time that local governments have to review development applications, so it is imperative that Volusia County maximize the efficiency of the staff and software.
