(1) Vendor needs to provide archaeological survey and reconnaissance level historic architecture survey services to the government authority located in Ames, IA.– work plan for an archaeological intensive survey in advance of infrastructure improvements to the urban residential neighbourhood.– This annual program involves the removal of built–up seal coats from asphalt–surfaced streets.– The objective is to restore pavement surface texture, address localized structural deficiencies, remove accumulated seal coat layers, and slow overall pavement deterioration.– Full removal of existing asphalt pavement and replacement with new asphalt surfacing.– Project will upgrade pedestrian facilities to comply with current federal accessibility requirements and include utility improvements such as replacement of existing sanitary and storm sewer structures within the project limits.– A comprehensive desktop review of historic plats and maps, historical records, relevant national register of historic places nominations, county property records, agency directives, newspapers.com, newspaperarchives.com, and other sources available online.– A single site visit to survey, from the public rights–of–way, and photograph all Historic Properties within or adjacent to the APE that were identified during the desktop review.– Preparation of a contract completion report that includes a table of all historic properties within the project area with photographs, a general historical overview, apparent integrity based on exterior observations only, and recommendations for further study (i.e., intensive–level survey).(2) All the questions must be submitted no later than September 10, 2026.
