Annual Financial Audits

The Santa Barbara County Association of Governments ("Association" or “SBCAG”) is requesting proposals (RFPs) from qualified certified public accountants (“auditor” or “Consultant”) to perform the following services for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024: An audit of the Association's general purpose financial statements; An audit that complies with the Single Audit Act, now codified at Title 2, Code of Federal Regulations, Subpart F; Maintenance of Effort audits of nine recipients of local sales tax revenue under ordinance number Five (Measure A); Alternative Transportation audits of nine recipients of local sales tax revenue per the Measure A Investment Plan. Fiscal and compliance audits of nine recipients of Transportation Development Act funds which has been expanded to include PTMISEA (Prop 1B) funds, LCTOP An audit of the Clean Air Express Enterprise fund financial statements; and A review of the Association’s annual Appropriations Limit calculation. The Association is contemplating a five-year contract for auditing services, to include five years (FY 23/24 and FY 27/28).
