Vendor needs to provide construction engineering and inspection services to the government authority located in Newark, NJ.– Provide construction engineering and inspections services during the construction phase of the construction engineering and inspection services for traffic signals and roadways improvements. – project intends to address the roadway deficiencies contributing to the safety problems and improve traffic operations.– Improvements to be implemented include upgrading the traffic signals to modern standards, installing high visibility crosswalks, and installing pedestrian signals with countdown timers, and push buttons with feedback.– No additional right of way will be required, and no additional pavement will be added.– Installation of new traffic signals, poles, mast arms, indications and pushbuttons.– The new equipment includes providing traffic signals with Light Emitting Diodes (LED) lenses, which use 90% less energy than incandescent traffic signals.
